Roomy Nice Fridge
This is a nice looking, fairly standard design side by side refrigerator.

What I like
*It cools down fast. The most remarkable thing about it, to me, was how fast it cooled down. I didn't have to wait nearly as long to get my food in safely as I did with my GE model, which was 3 years old and very much comparable in look.

*It's quiet. It runs quietly. All I've heard is the ice dumping every now and then. If you dispense ice, it's loud, but not as loud as my GE was, and it works a lot better. Ice comes out really quickly and is a good shape.

*The shelves are VERY easy to adjust. This rocks. I really liked that I could make myself a small shelf JUST for keeping my vat of bread dough on. There's also enough shelves that slide in and out, like trays might in a tray cart. This will make it MUCH easier to clean than my old fridge, which had tricky shelves that attacked with a clip at the very back. This is a much more user friendly design -...

PLASTIC DOOR PARTS FAILING AFTER 8 MONTHS
After only 8 months the door shelve parts are failing. I'll have to order some of the strap/brackets that hold the jars on the door of the fridge in order to get useful service out of this unit for years to come. Not nice. Cheap design. No rough handling either. Just poor quality.

I've owned this fridge less than a month, but I love it. This is my first side by side, love the extra room. Ice maker is a bit noisey, I'm sure they all are. Spillsaver glass shelves are a plus. Pur filtered ice and water is also a plus, as my old refrigerator had no water dispenser, and the ice was unfiltered. One thing I might add, the water from the dispenser is not chilled. I'm looking forward to many years of service from this fridge. One other note, Whirlpool and Maytag as well as Magic Chef are divisions of ... that's right, you guessed it, AMANA.

Very accesible, Very Sleek, Very Roomy
The things I really like about this refrigerator which we have had for about three years are:

I really like the freezer on the bottom. I'm in the fridge more than the freezer and don't have to bend down to access the fridge. The freezer has a large (huge) basket with a smaller divided pull-out one on the top. The ice cube maker works fantastically.

I really like having the water dispenser on the inside wall of the fridge. The refrigerator maintains its sleek look but I still have access to filtered water.

I really like there is a shelf that pulls out making it easy to reach things stuffed towards the back.

I like that I can adjust the other shelves height.

I like the larger drawer below the two crisper drawers. We keep cheeses and lunch meats in it. Again, very accessible.

I like the big roomy size of the door shelves. They accommodate a full gallon jug of milk.

defective part
I purchased this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. For the second time in less than four years the central crisper support must be replaced. This is a plastic part that supports the two cripsers. It is held in place with a small plastic tab at the back, so when the drawers are extended this small plastic tab supports the weight of the crisper. And it breaks off. I was told by customer service that you "can not fill the crispers too full or put too much weight in them" (BUT no definition of the maxium load). I have never had this problem before with a refrigerator; this part is poorly designed for its use. I learned from "customer support" that there is a 30 day return policy and a 90 day warranty on the part. They will not replace the defective part; you must pay for it. If you try to replace the part under the 90 day warranty, you must have a technician come to verify that the part was properly installed (!). AND you must pay for this inspection of the $30 part...
Nice fridge
I chose this for the internal ice maker and water dispenser and it does that fine.
About a month now using it and it is great.

Exceptional!
I spent my Christmas 2009 reviewing expresso machines. I had just returned from a trip to Europe and finally was going to fold and get an expresso machine. I missed the expresso from Italy and France. 1oz of crema delight.

So, I liked the Breville from all the reviews but was worried about some of the negativity on the "wet puck" I had read. All the reviews mentioned excellent coffee though, so it was on my short list.

Then I saw the Breville BES860XL, also known as the Barista Express Programmable Expresso. From the looks you can tell this unit has exchanged the hot water dispenser for a bean grinder. This unit is a fully automatic expresso machine with the super automatic feature of grinding a pre-measure of beans for your brew. Note, it is not a super automatic machine as you still need to manually mount the portafilter into the group head, and clean the filter afterwards. Takes some practice...
I agree with most of the reviews below - but wanted to add a few words about my experience with this machine:

I made a cursory read-through of the manual and having never owned a machine like this, but certainly having purchased a lot of coffee shop espressos across the globe, I thought I could jump right in and make some great drinks. Well, in part true, but I hit a point where I almost returned it. I started off with the double-wall filter and it made a very decent shot. Then I figured I try out the single wall filter. 2 weeks later and after joining the ranks of Corn-holio, I hit the jackpot.

During the first 2 weeks, I went from a moderate grind and a middle grind amount to the finest setting and about 2/3 away around the grind amount dial. I even far exceeded the recommended tamping pressure. The result was always an under extracted and bitter shot. Most of the time the puck was wet on top and a bit messy to clean up.
